Oscar de la Renta Digital Magazine - deYoung Museum

01 — Project details

Museums are often wary of marketing, but it's essential to supporting a major exhibition. The dresses, stories, and images in the Oscar de la Renta exhibition were amazing, but the $60 price tag was a big hurdle.

So we gave potential visitors exactly what they needed to trust that it would be money well spent.

02 — Creative process

I worked with André Leon Talley, the legendary editor and long-time friend of Oscar de la Renta, to surface personal stories about a designer who had dressed every first lady since Jackie O, as well as countless celebrities and personalities.

Working under tight deadlines, we built a site that was technically ambitious, visually stunning, and that funneled visitors toward ticket purchases.

People lined up for months.
